Individuals HAIR Salon Policies
At Individuals HAIR Salon in Nottingham, we care deeply about the experience of every client who walks through our doors.
To ensure we provide the highest level of service, operate smoothly, and respect the time of both our clients and our team, we have put in place a number of policies regarding cancellations, deposits, allergy testing and your appointment.
These policies are designed to protect the salon, our stylists, and you as a valued client. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
We aim to run our appointments smoothly to respect the time of every client. Please aim to arrive on time. If you are over 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment if it cannot be completed in the remaining time. Clients who arrive 15 minutes or more late without contact may be considered a no-show and charged 50% of the scheduled service (we will attempt to contact you first).
Please also avoid arriving too early as we have limited waiting space. Of course, we understand that life happens. Every client of Individuals HAIR is entitled to one “grace” appointment per year for a last-minute cancellation, no-show, or schedule change.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected situations can arise and plans may need to change. We kindly ask that you provide at least 5 days’ notice if you wish to cancel or amend your appointment.
Cancellations within 4 days of your appointment will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of your booked service, and no-shows will be charged 100% of the service price. This also applies if you choose to shorten your appointment (e.g. cancelling the colour portion of a booked colour-and-finish service).
Exceptions may be considered in cases of illness or unforeseen circumstances and are at the discretion of Individuals HAIR.
If a cancellation fee is due, it must be paid within 7 days unless a deposit was already taken. A payment request will be sent to you.
Individuals HAIR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments if:
- A stylist becomes ill
- The salon environment becomes unsuitable for any reason
If this happens, we will make every effort to rearrange your appointment within two weeks.
Deposits
A deposit may be required at the time of booking, particularly for services that are time-intensive or require special materials such as multi-process colour work or colour correction.
All deposits are non-refundable and the amount is deducted from your final bill on the day of your appointment.
Deposits allow us to reserve significant time in our diary and prepare the necessary products for your service.


Allergy Alert Testing (Patch Tests)
Your safety is our priority. An Allergy Alert Test is mandatory under the following circumstances:
- You are new to Individuals HAIR
- It has been 6 months or longer since your last colour service or patch test
- You wish to change your colour shade
Cost: £10 - redeemable against your colour service
Duration: 15-minute appointment
Includes: Consultation, assessment of your colour goals, and the Allergy Alert Test
What you need to know: The test must be carried out at least 48 hours before your colour appointment. Please ensure your hair has been washed 48+ hours before the AAT to remove oils or product build-up. Do not wash your hair immediately before your colour appointment, as this can increase scalp sensitivity.
Colourstart Users: If you’ve previously used a Colourstart test please complete your Colourstart passport screening questions prior to your service.
